Tests send generated traffic to Cloudflare’s speed-test network and use your data allowance. Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical request data under its privacy policy. How this test measures your connection

Node: local-dev

Ping here is HTTP round-trip time after one warmup sample, not ICMP. Speeds use decimal Mbps from bytes and elapsed time.

What does this tool measure?

This tool runs the full HTTP test and produces a documented reference score from download, upload, ping, and jitter. It is a convenience summary, not a certified diagnosis.

How do I use it?

  1. Run the full test without heavy background traffic.
  2. Review all four raw measurements first.
  3. Use the score only as a quick summary.
  4. Compare repeated tests under similar conditions.

How should I read the result?

The score weights download up to 40 points, upload up to 20, HTTP ping up to 25, and jitter up to 15. Missing metrics produce no score rather than a guessed value.

What are the technical limits?

The thresholds are general consumer-use references. They do not account for every application, service, route, data cap, packet-loss condition, or ISP commitment.

Frequently asked questions

Is the quality score an industry standard?

No. It is SpeedTestLab’s transparent reference calculation.

Why is there no score after a partial test?

All four required measurements must be present. The site does not replace missing data with zero or invented values.
