SpeedTestLab network tool
Internet Stability Test
Run a timed series of HTTP pings. Default 30 seconds, maximum 120 seconds, with a cancel control.

Tests send generated traffic to Cloudflare’s speed-test network and use your data allowance. Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical request data under its privacy policy. How this test measures your connection
Ping here is HTTP round-trip time after one warmup sample, not ICMP. Speeds use decimal Mbps from bytes and elapsed time.
What does this tool measure?
The stability test samples HTTP round-trip time every 500 milliseconds for 30 seconds by default. It summarizes latency variation and failed requests over that short window.
How do I use it?
- Start with other traffic paused for a baseline.
- Let the 30-second window finish or stop it at any time.
- Repeat while the connection is under normal household load.
- Compare wired and Wi-Fi runs when possible.
How should I read the result?
Consistent samples suggest a stable path to this node during the window. Spikes or failures deserve repetition and comparison; they do not by themselves identify the faulty device or network.
What are the technical limits?
Thirty seconds cannot prove long-term reliability. The maximum supported duration is 120 seconds to control traffic and resource use.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the stability test run?
The default is 30 seconds. The implementation caps a run at 120 seconds.
Can I stop the test?
Yes. Stop cancels active requests and keeps any completed partial measurements on screen.
